1949~Jun. 2, 1963
14 yrs. old
It was the afternoon of Jun. 2, 1963 when Sophie Olejnik, 14, went missing from the town of Manville. She was thought to have been walking on Sunnymead Road and on her way to a dance at the Polish Falcon Camp on Falcon Road. About a week later her body would be found in a brook in the town of Hillsborough. She had been submerged in about six inches of water. An autopsy proved inconclusive as to whether she had been sexually assaulted or molested. It was determined that she was drowned and had her head pushed to the bottom of the body of water.
